My thunk is when I’m on the brakes before a bump and let off just before the bump and coast over the bump and it’s usually in the compression of the suspension coming off the bump. Like slowing before getting to one of those speed humps seems to replicate it pretty consistently. And it’s definitely passenger side. I’ll see if i can get a video/audio of it today. Any idea what the torque specs are for the lca? Maybe I’ll just go around and recheck all the uca and lca bolts when I’m in there today

Old pilot bearing was not damaged any way i could see when i pulled it and replaced it. It had a replacement at 200k miles and then i replaced it again at 245k when i did the clutch again.

Yea wouldn’t hurt to just check the torque, I marked my alignment tabs with a paint pen, loosened the bolts and jumped up and down on the truck to move the suspension a bit then torqued to spec. He torque specs are on the forum somewhere, I think I googled it and just directed to a thread on here anyways lol

100 ft lbs I believe. If it’s a LCA it is more of a loud click than a thunk - not being nit picky just trying to steer you in the right direction.

Nice much appreciated, now that you say that i vaguely remember doing that search a bit ago on here and coming across the thread with all those torque specs. So the interesting thing is it’s more of a loud click now. Prior to the mod i think it was more of a thud. Could have been a combination of both. We’ll find out shortly here. I’ll grab a quick before video also and hopefully a clean after vid

I think you need your own build thread for this already.

The same shit everyone else has.
Not yet. I’ll update my build thread with details at some point.

    This gist of it is.....

5’ of 4” ABS. 2 end caps. A shrader valve. A boiler drain. 2” cleanout and cap. 30psi pop off. And a shower head on a hose.

    Stole the idea from here

That sounds exactly like what mine was doing. I didn’t put lube on anything, but I got under there with a torque wrench, set it to 100 ft lb and tightened all four. Only one was loose (around 40 ft lb) sound went away after that.
