I live in a snow belt and ski country all my life .... the advice in this thread about grease , WD40 and anti seize is wrong . That's why it doesn't come from the factory with it .

Lots of guys in my area spray the hubs with anti seize so the wheels come off easier. We just don’t spray the studs

    rust belt here.
    used to anti seize studs.
    i dont any more.
but i do take a wire brush to the little rim that centers the rim, and i then put a very light coating of anti-seize at the point where the rim mates up. i also dab the mating surface whenever the drum comes off.

A dab of a good anti-seize is always good on the mating surfaces, especially when multiple dudes are involved.

I understand but we have to watch giving these young guys advice to the point where they might oil or grease something up that they shouldn't . The OP had to ask how to get his wheel off so he is very inexperienced . I do like what some have said about a dab of anti seize where the wheels mate up , anyway best of luck to you .

It's not just the Tacomas anything with magnesium wheels and cast can seize , just be safe when trying to remove them. Having worked in dealerships and tire shops. Its common across the board.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Loosen lugs; hit throttle then while truck is moving turn steering wheel and hit the brakes (may need to be done several times)
