I’m getting ready to lift my 3rd gen tacoma. Been doing some research on the lift I wanna throw on the vehicle and searching for some opinions and if anybody has just about an identical setup. Currently thinking about going with a 5100 lift all around with new coils, and running 285/70r17 ridge grapplers. Leaning towards new UCAs. Thoughts? I’d like to avoid a CMC if possible but am prepared to do one.

I'd do ko2 tires, I've heard they run a tiny bit smaller, might help minimize rubbing issues. That's my 10 cents

How high are you going? Less than 2 1/2 inches up front and UCA may not be necessary. I am running a 2" lift and had no issues with alignment.

With big tires and new shocks, the next weakest link will be the UCAS. Do it the first time and you'll be happy from then on.

I would be prepared for the front diff bearing to go bad. I would have the ECGS bearing ready to go in as well.

My bearing started rumbling after 5 days of having my lift installed

I am new here and new to the Tacoma. I purchased my first one a few weeks ago and within a couple days i fell into a killer deal on 285/70/17 ridge grapplers on 17x9 4.5"BS +1 offset. So im in the same boat as the OP. I however, am not capable of doing the CMC and want to avoid it like the plague.
Being were in the same boat, Marie at Headstrong suggested a few different options and one of them being 5100s choice of coil (i am leaning towards 888s) and the aal pack w/UCAs
Anyone running this wheel tire lift combo? would help me and the OP out!

I am running a different setup (887), but wanted to vouch for Marie and Headstrong. She knows her kits and they put together a good package.

Keep in mind that you may have the dreaded front diff issue where you have to replace the OEM needle bearing.

I have the ECGS on order as well, and will install it when installing the lift. It should come out to about 2.75" in front and 2" rear so nothing dramatic.

I just did the 6112/5160 bilsteins w/ OME medium duty leafs. I also threw on some JBA UCAs and did the ECGS bushing install. Took me a day and only cost me 80$ at the base hobby shop. Truck shown after it was taken off the Jack's. It settled and just needs a alignment

Believe they are the stock 600lb springs in the front. Canopy is a Softopper. Also I did the 1/4 inch spacer on the driver side
