I have noticed the same noise on mine as well.I just recently purchased this truck its got 136k . Have you had any change in yours or been able to fix or identify anything else. I’ve seen that there is a TSB on reflashing the ECM wondering if that might quiet it down.

I had bought a used 2.7l Tacoma had a similar sound almost made the truck sound like a Model T ford, was called in for a catatylic convertor Recall and now its not so prominent as before but still has some noise

Mine sounds like both of these videos. 40k miles. Not worried about it. Normal? Heck even my wife's '16 Camry and my old '06 Corolla has this same sound.
It's the lower frequency tapping sound that is heard best around 1:10 in the last video from under the truck and also next to the truck near the front driver tire.

Mine sounds the same. It's intermittent, though. Atkinson cycle?

09 with 73k miles...same noise same location near driver cat. Only hear it at idle in park. Goes away under load in gear.

Do remember reading awhile ago of some motors having lower oil pressure issues on driver side of motor. Don't know if its related.

Recently had a Blackstone oil analysis done and report came back good, low wear metals.

Yes I remember reading about oil pump volume issues .
You would think low pressure would trip a light ?

Have you tried turning on your A/C or defroster yet? I have the same noise that started with only 55000 miles on my engine. I bought my truck new and do my own maintenance so I couldn’t believe it was an engine or exhaust issue yet. Sound goes away or diminishes to a point so faint i can’t hear it.
