Searching around I'm finding different methods to set IFP depth in the remote reservoir and oil volume. What's the correct method?

Right now I have the cap with the scrhader off the reservoir with the ifp bottomed out towards the shock. I was thinking I will start filling the shock body with oil then cycle the ifp with my depth setting tool a couple times, pulling fluid into the reservoir while I continue to top off the shock body and work the air out. I'm just not sure how much space I should leave between the ifp and the schrader cap once I stop cycling and reinstall. Can someone give me step by step details? Trying to get it done tonight, but can call Icon tomorrow I guess.

@Icon_Adrian can you just post the IFP depth info and process here for 2.0 remote resi shocks? It would likely be helpful for others as well.

Your procedure is correct so far. Remote Reservoir 2.0's are oiled at full compression and with the shaft @ full extension. Nitrogen pressure is 150psi.

Feel free to give me a call directly if you like a more detailed explanation.

@Icon_Adrian appreciate the info over the phone today. Just to be clear, I don't want to follow the instructions here @20:07 to measure a specific distance between the piston and cap? Instead I should push the cap all the way towards the piston and insert it into the shock body with the shaft fully extended.

Correct, spacers are needed on CDCV Series shocks. 2.0's and Non-CDCV do not require to be spaced between the seal head and rate plates.

Thank you for posting the rebuild video. I may be rebuilding my shock after losing some fluid. Will I need to buy the nitrogen charge needle for the 2005+ tacoma rear 2.0 shocks with reservoirs?

No, with resi I believe they have a Schrader. Zero loss Chuck with nylon seal has worked best for me. Where are you located?
