    Bane is doing amazing!
What a pleasure training a smart dog.
    3mnths and knows well:
come, sit, stay, down, up, shake, touch, crate, bed, chill, business (pee), make (poo) (rings bells at door for either), heel (walks loose leash already)
sleeps through night in crate without whining since the day we got him, working on leave it seems to be the toughest. Such a joy!!

    Yeah.
Beautiful pup^! My Shibas mainly just do what they want and only really know SIT. Not dumb, just aloof and independent. They both know how to open doors, although the female is better at it and can actually PULL a door open as long as they have a lever handle. This required a door knob change to the "air lock" (laundry room, where there's not an open path to outside, which she is fond of escaping to if there is an opportunity). Gotta love 'em.

Well I just got home from deployment and got to meet the man that replaced me. I brought him a treat to make sure he would like me.

Beautiful creature. Looking at his paws, he's gonna be HUGE!
We've been wanting one for a while, but I'm away from home a lot for work and they need a lot of exercise or they can be destructive.
Keep him busy and he will love you more for it.

Finally took the little one on his first camping trip last week. It was a quick one night trip and went well overall. Need to make some improvements to handle having 2 dogs with me easier but it's all worth it!

Me and my wife just adopted a pit puppy. She’s almost 4mo old now, have had her for about 2wks. She’s pretty damn cool, just need to get her to bond with my wife more...

She’s the one home with the pup for the most part now, and the dog (Moana, Momo for short) still gravitates heavily toward me. Hoping that’ll change so it’s closer to 50/50.

Not that I want to rush her out of puppyhood, but I won’t miss the nibbling/teething!

I had days with my most recent dog where I was apprehensive to wash my hands. They hurt so bad from all of the teeth scratches, felt like the worst sunburn you could have, but on your hands. He was by far the worst teether i've ever been around. Now when he greets, he opens his mouth and lightly holds onto your arm. It's the goofiest thing. Does it for about 2 seconds, then brings you the closest toy.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Although ours was closer to 15 months, she liked to chew on hands, arms, anything attached. We took a little bit of peanut butter and put it on the back of our hands and let her lick. We used "nice" whenever she did it. Over 4 years later, "nice" gets her calmed down in an excited state, most of the time. If you don't like a licker, might try a different approach though.

My pup only chews on me when I get home. He has never once tried with the wife or kids that I know of. When my dad was here he chewed on his hand a few times when he'd come in the house. All I gotta tell him is settle and he stops chewing and licks instead.

Holy crap! The size of those pups are unreal. I bet they go through a lot of food. Good looking dogs.

Thank you! He's a big boy at 3mnths and almost 30lbs!! His parents are on the larger side of the size scale, so we're hoping for a very large Weim. I swear i can literally watch him grow.. He has a great temperament and balance of energy, active when we want, chill when we want (so far...) We just channel his energy and "destructive" side and he's very well behaved (so far... lol)
