I purchased the wrong TRD skidplate from the 40% off sale couple months ago.(I know my bad).
However the dealership wont exchange it and wants me to pick it up. The say the part will fit my truck and I should have no issue. Does anyone have any info on this very much appreciated.

Reason I ask is that the Tacoma TRD skid plate part number shows up with a picture of a 4runner skid plate. If that's what you are going off of then it might be the right one

They first called to let me know the part wont fit my VIN. Now going back and telling me it should fit fine.

Part number you listed will not fit on a Tacoma. Only 4 runner or FJ

Damn that's the wrong one indeed. I really doubt it'll fit at all and even if it did it's like a fraction of the size of the correct skid. You can get the correct one from bam wholesale parts for about 340 shipped with a coupon code

Good question. If you got time to burn then why not

If it was me I'd make them do it to eat their words. At the end of the day though you still made the order and it was your mistake

I take a little fault however when it asked for my VIN to check the item will be a correct fitment I never got a error message or any indication that it wont fit thats why this situation kinda sucks. I was buying it with full confidence after it allowed me to make the purchase.
