"Back in 2012 I took a gamble on a company buying a long travel kit for my 2005 Tacoma that I knew very little about. 2019 is here an that same Long travel kit is still kicking! It's not quite as pretty but I can assure you it's just as functional. Nearly 100,000 miles and close to 60 Wheeling trips later I can say I have never been more satisfied with the durability, dependability, support, and passion of an offroad manufacturer. Thx to TC for all they do. Keep bringing the Chaos!"⁣

    I'm here for the memes
Are the travel numbers for your kits on your website for 4wd? If so, considering I am 2wd I don’t have the limiting factor of a axle so technically I would be able to get more travel out of your +2 or +3.5 kit?

The travel numbers listed will be the same for both 2WD and 4WD systems. It's possible you can squeeze a little more out of a 2WD system but you have to keep an eye out for the upper misalignment spacer clearance. We recommend 1/4" clearance between the upper misalignment spacer and uniball cup for both 2WD and 4WD models

    It's here!!!

TC has been working on an expedition version of their +2 LT kit, and it's finally here!!

    https://www.chaosfab.com/2016+-Taco...s-Long-Travel-Suspension-Kit-86222T-E-16.html

I've got all the info at my disposal, so if you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

    • The 2” Expedition Series kit features a redesigned lower control arm serving as an evolution of the Race Series LCA’s with select features to improve component strength, function and vehicle handling.
    • A newly integrated steering stop tab retains the factory turning angle with no modification necessary to the OEM ball joint cradles.
    • Billet CNC machined uniball cup ends extend into the arm providing more turning clearance and increased strength.
    • Upper and lower ball joints are replaced with 1" uniballs for maximum wheel travel. TOTAL CHAOS 1" I.D. uniballs feature a heat treated stainless steel ball & race for superior corrosion resistance and component strength. A military grade PTFE woven fabric liner surrounds the uniball which helps prevent noise and debris buildup.
    • Extended 4130 chromoly upper and lower control arms increase track width 2” per side and bolt to factory control arm mounting locations yielding 11.5” of travel.
    • Upper and lower control arms utilize urethane bushings and steel inner sleeves which greatly reduce bushing deflection compared to stock rubber bushings.
    • Lower controls arms come pre-tabbed for a secondary external bypass shock which can be installed to increase dampening and tunability.
    • Different spring rate options offer the ability to customize your ride for your specific application allowing you to custom tune the vehicle for specific terrain or desired performance.
    • Adjustable limit strap clevises are included to properly limit suspension droop wheel travel and allow necessary adjustments during the life of the limit strap.
    • Kit includes DOT approved stainless steel braided brake lines, TC custom 17-4 stainless hi-misalignment spacers and all necessary Grade 8 mounting hardware.
    • TC 4340 custom extended axles reuse factory inner and outer CV's to retain 4wd (axles are sold separately and not included with the kit).

Everything else is identical to the race kits, just beefed up to a whole new level and those few features added to make the kit that much better.

These are now in stock and ready to ship, so if you'd like to order and get the best LT kit on the market right now, please reach out. I'll be happy to put together a nice package deal with shocks/bypasses and everything needed to make this kit fit.

I'm trying to price out all the parts but I'm not 100% I have everything. What is the bare minimum for the LT conversion?

    - LT Kit (LCA, UCA, etc.)
    - extended axle shafts
    - coilovers

    did I miss anything?

That, and spindle gussets, cam tab gussets would be a very good idea while everything's already apart.

Shoot me a PM, I can hook you up with a killer deal on most kits out there! Especially Camburg or TC.

Thinking strongly about buying for My 2001 taco. Any difference between the boxed or tubular kit, is one better structurally than the other?
