Last pickup I owned was when I was a student at Indiana University in the early 80s – '55 Dodge half-ton with a flathead 6-cylinder, 3-speed column-shift manual, and 6-volt electrical system.

In March of this year I decided it was time for a Tacoma after great Toyota ownership experience (a 1993 Camry that family and I drove from 2004 to 2016; a 2008 Scion XB I drove from new 'til March of this year, and a 2007 V6-equipped AWD RAV4 that has been serving my youngest son well for almost two years).

In March, I found and bought an extremely well-maintained 2017 Tacoma SR5, Access Cab, V6, 4WD, Silver, with just under 10k miles and a clean CarFax report.

A couple weeks ago I started hearing an extremely annoying vibration noise around the passenger side dash speaker and A-pillar. Wondering if it might be a known problem, a quick Google search led me to an informative thread on the subject here on TacomaWorld (apparently it IS a fairly common issue in the 2017 Tacoma – and an easy fix).

Looking forward to joining the conversation here.

    Thanks for the welcome.

    Happy Trucking!
