First off, yes, I'm an idiot. I honestly don't know what I was thinking.

Long story short, I was trying to install KTJO's tailgate lock. I was trying to "unscrew" the tailgate lock so I could thread something in the middle, but ended up breaking off one of the flanges on the screw head.

Am I screwed? Do I need a whole new lock now? I was able to glue it on so it works temporarily, but I can only assume that this will eventually fail. Please help. Thank you in advance.

If that screw is able to be removed from the lock you can probably replace it, if not need a new lock.

That’s strange it popped off like that but I’d be willing to bet that you’re good for the time being. When you have time time to fiddle with it just replace that screw and you should be good to go.
