No. Probably going to stick silicone in it and forget about it

I would throw a bolt/nut in there as well as the silicon. That's a pretty big hole just for silicon.

disregard what i said below. it looks like some kind of self expanding nut, maybe someone put it in for something like a baby seat.

this is wrong----> Guys its a bullet hole. Classic signs. Raised metal on top very slight but then coned out on bottom.

I take it you've never actually seen a bullet hole then...

I imagine it was to hold down a sub box. I used my seat belt bolt hole.

I've never bolted my sub boxes to the floor... hmmm....

The PO was handicapted, I'm betting it was for his wheel chair or something.

I know 2 people paras. Neither put their wheelchairs in the backseat or secure them for that matter.

Not factory but not done sloppily so someone had a good use for it.

Yeah, most people I see have a rack in the bed or something. OP just said something about the previous owner being handicaped, I dunno, I'm just pissing in the wind here.

Just took this pic of my steel plate in my yard I shoot at. Its a 55 grain 223 round, 1/2 thick steel plate it did not make it threw. So yes I have seen bullet holes.

I am not a gun nut, I am not a gun nut, I am not a gun nut... well saying it a bunch did not make it true. But I did send a few 30 round ar mags to Cali a few weeks ago during the week of freedom you guys had.

It's a factory hole. A little quarter inch bolt plugs it. I drilled mine out when I installed my sub. The bolt doesn't secure anything, it's just a filler plug

OK. Same hole in the carpet too?

Didn't I read something about a child seat change during 1st gen. production about the time of pass airbag not being keyed off. Although I sure would think any kind of factory hole would need a repad underneath of some sort.

It's kind of funny, except for vehicles I've flipped through the years, this was my first w/ airbags. Drove about 30 yrs. w/o them.

The p/o did something with it. The carpet completely covers the bolt normally. You can't even feel it when the carpet is down. The directions for a jl audio stealthbox explain how to cut the carpet, remove the bolt, and drill out the opening for securing their sub

I’d say it was something related to previous owner’s handicapped needs. Might have been to secure a oxygen tank holder or something. I dunno.
