So helped my nephews girl friend detail her 2013 wrangler unlimited she got from her dad .Plastic trim was fckd. Scrubbed with brush and simple green and then tried the car guys plastic restorer . Aint no snake oil lol.
Whole jeep was stained with red dirt .Dad used it for hunting . 1500 wet sand paper with quick detailer on bad parts took it right off with very light sanding .Buffed out and sealed with Klasse AIO .Over 20 hrs detailing . Came out pretty good .
That plastic restorer is the bomb . :boom:

Been using on my 2010 prerunner for about a year and a half and no sign of fading .I reapply say maybe 4months or so even though it still looks good for protection . The wranglers trim will be a good test though .

1 month update . Still doing good . Think using everytime you polish your truck should be good .

Very nice. Most plastic restore products do not last for long

Yea surprised after 1 month and still looks good considering how bad the jeep bumper was . I applied it with like a 3in x 3in piece of old cotton tee shirt so got put on heavy and seemed to soak in . They recommend using a pad applicator but pad soaks up too much product so seems like only wasting . Been using on my truck a while but wasn't as bad as the jeep .

Solution Finish is the top product used in the detailing industry right now to restore plastic and rubber parts and trim. It's a dye, not a dressing. Do a search for it on You Tube.

Have you seen or heard anything about shine supply trim paint/dye? They have black and gray. I really like some of their products so I'm getting their trim dye is solid. Their trim shield restorer is the best trim products I have used, but it's a selanat not a dye. It does a good job of getting trim back to black though but some jobs still call for a dye

I have not. I belong to a few detailing forums that have a large number of professional detailers that are members, and when ever someone asks about what to use for restoring plastic/rubber trim, Solution Finish usually the only answer everyone responds with. Not to say there aren't other great products out there, this one just seems to dominate the market right now.

Yeah same thing for me. The solutions finish seems to be king. Its cheaper than the shine supply and proven so if I ever need some, I'd lean toward the solutions, although shine supply makes some really good stuff.

i have some solution finish to try out. I have read that after multiple applications it doesn’t work as well. Have any of you experienced this?

So after 4 months and hardlly any washes and no recoat of plastic restorer or anything else starting to look bad again . I believe with regular up keep this product would be good . Used on my truck (wasnt as bad as jeep) and wash truck at least every 3 weeks and still looks good
