USA = disappoint, as usual.

 

Close call for Canada. Same game as last year except this year our goaltending managed to hold up in the third and the crazy Swiss goaltending did not.

Russia and the USA were the favourites based on roster going into this tourney. The US blowing the round robin ultimately cost them the most, you don’t want to face Russia in the quarters.

 

Ya unreal for Canada to tie it with so little time left. And I just had a feeling as soon as they forced OT that they would win (which they did) But props to Canada, they fight until the end, every time. I feel like USA never has that drive, for some reason. I liked USA's roster for the most part. Would've liked to see Hellebyuck, Bishop or Gibson in net but it is what it is.

 

It was a little tight lol.

 

Come on bro... I know you are a fan of a rival team but if you think anyone was going to look great back-stopping that team this year, then you are kidding yourself. He was fantastic for a lot of the year and faced a ton of rubber, high quality chances etcc. Way more than a pro goalie should have to. You put him behind an even average defense and any coach would take him. I think he's as good as Murray, honestly.

 

No arguments there. He was actually quite terrible in that game. I don't put much into that, as it really doesn't mean much. But I do agree that it didn't do him any favors and I personally would be super pissed and no cool with getting clowned like that, meaningless game or not. So yes I am with you there.

Been telling you guys from day 0.1 that the Blues would win the cup.

 

For the last 10 years I have thought of the Blues as the Kings little brothers. They had admired their bigger brother and wanted to be just like them but just weren't as big or as fast. Now the torch is passed and the Blues have grown up. Go on little brother, show what you can do.

 

Pretty sure the Ducks first game after the All-Star break was vs. the Jets and IIRC he got yanked in the first period after giving up 5 or 6 goals.
