wiper stalk installation issues

    Bought an intermittent wiper stalk off ebay. Followed the instructions here. Very helpful. It took only about 10 mins to swap the switches. When I tested it, windshield fluid sprayed, and it's wiped clean. Happy. then, switched to the intermittent option. Nothing. Then, nothing. Swapped back to the original 2-speed stalk. Nothing. It looks like something is wrong with the fuse. Does the intermittent one take more current? Anybody run into this problem before? BTW, I have a regular cab manual shift 4-cyl tacoma.

    The wiper stalk I got is actually for corolla. The interface is the same as the 2-spd one. Anybody knows which fuse I should check?

    Just googled corolla fuse box. The corolla washer ("WSH") fuse rating is 15A, not 10A. I'll check that fuse after work today. BTW, if it's the culprit, is it safe to put in a 15A fuse in the "WSH" slot?

    You did reconnect "BOTH" of the wiring plugs, didn't you?

    Yeah, I did connect both plugs, and I did hear the two "clicks". :) Thanks for your reply.

    Just got home. To my surprise, the fuse in "WIP 30A" socket broken, not the one in "WSH". Will order a new 30A fuse and try it again.

    @whatstcp , thank you so much. just got back from harbor freight after seeing your post. put in a new fuse. Everything is functional now! :bananadance: 45 bucks for a brand new intermittent wiper switch and 8 bucks for 60 fuses. We got a lot of rain here in MA recently. It's really a good deal and good mod!
