    1) Pulled the oil cooler, cleaned it, and replaced the o-ring and bolt seals.

    2) Replaced the oil cooler hoses.

    3) Replaced the oil pressure sensor switch.

Auto will never achieve more smiles per miles than a manual, no matter how advanced they get

of course this is entirely subjective, but let me have my moment

whens the last time you had to clutch start a vehicle?

also if we really wanna get into it then if three pedals make a truck better then having no spark plugs makes it a real truck so till you bringing Diesel with a manual trans and manual Tcase with lock out hubs or drive flanges then I don't wanna hear how it's more or fun.
Having said that yeah i have one of those in my collection of trucks.

Yep.. That one was just starting to seep at the o-ring. Changing those hoses looks to be a pain too. I repositioned the hose clamp directions for future ease of service from below.

I decided to try one last thing before I regrease the leaf bushings. And that was to get a little piece of teflon on the pad right next to the bushing. Bounced up and down on it, and its silent. Total, blissful silence. IMG_20190523_154812780.jpg

That leaf looks too long, either it needs to be a military wrap or it needs to be shorter, it's rubbing right at the bend

Update on this, the ping is back. Dunno why it went away for a bit after I removed the CB drop spacer but it looks like I'm going to have to take apart the slip yoke and grease it by hand.

Sounds like someone's taking a ball peen hammer and tapping the driveshaft with it, it's a distinct sound for sure. Most of what I read says it's likely the slip yoke since the zerk fitting back there doesn't always get the grease on the splines where it needs to be.
