What’s wrong with the air bags? I’ve been thinking of getting some but I’ve heard good and bad...

Well I am using them kinda wrong, I’ve got a shit ton of weight out back and I thought they’d work good since I haul trailers often too. Well they are just bouncy as hell, I have to run 25/30 psi to maintain a good stance. When they bottom out it’s like riding a mechanical bull. For “extra” weight, maybe a good option, for daily driving with an additional 400lbs on stock leafs... no bueno.

Got ya on that. Yeah I’m okay with my stance now just need the extra help with a trailer occasionally. If you decide to sell the air bags please let me know!

Will do, they work great at what they are designed to do. I was just being a cheap ass at the time and trying to avoid leaf spring replacement.

It’s a game we all play! That’s why I have parts sitting in my shop that I can’t decide if I should keep or sell! :annoyed:Keep me in mind for sure though!

A little something every chance we get.
I have asked the same several times, and you have the most common result given. I'm old enough that I put Air Shocks on a heavy Dodge Magnum, and they were the solution for that. But I think the right springs and shocks are what Tacos want.

Nothing that would be better than your stuff. I have a set of OME 887 springs that I’m trying to decide on wether I should swap them out for my 885s on the truck right now. Or maybe sell both and my 5100s and move up to kings or toytec lift setup. Also got a cool gun rack that mounts in the headliner but I’m still working on measuring out a new bracket to move it to the center of the cab ceiling so it doesn’t take up rear head room. Last but not least is my ditch light brackets and pods from CBI. Got all the wiring and switches etc. just undecided on installing them. Oh and LED strips for bed lights too. Other than that stuff I’ve got OEM TRD off-road parts that I’ve taken off. Can’t decide if I should sell them dirt cheap or keep them in case I ever sell the truck and want to take it back close to stock and sell the upgraded parts separately.

I need to have a major install day one of these days.

Yep, I just wasn’t sure about the options at the time, didn't know how much lift i wanted... or how much weight I’d have out back. Now I know so I guess I can go ahead and get an upgraded set.

I don't have the dual cab options for mods, so I'm limited. I want a roof rack for the pistols or rifles, but space is limited in an access cab

    Same here
dang some quality stuff. Was just asking out of sheer curiosity. As far as a coilover setup between the 2 I’d go king but not a thing wrong with toytec. I’d run the 887s an sell the 885s an just save for what you want an keep the 887s as back up or slap a spacer on the stockers during rebuild time.
