Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I'm still stuck in the "resident for 6 months"-purgatory.

On the upside, I was hiking up in the Carson Range, behind my house, and the area is filthy with quail. The little buggers hang out just beyond the "no shoot" zone. And I have no problem hiking in a couple of miles to go (attempt) slaughtering quail this fall.

Am I correct in understanding that pretty much *all* big game tags in NV are draw-only, i.e. nothing over the counter for deer/elk/speed goats?

That's correct. Mtn lions are the only otc tag in Nevada.

When the time comes, I should probably keep one of those in my pocket. Wife has wanted a mountain lion pelt for years, but those tags are unobtanium in Kommiefornia.

HAH! I'll pick 'em off during the season, at least. No reason for me to piss off the wardens, or be a dick about the game laws.

No. I stuck to just NV this year. Our fall work schedule is going to be extremely full. I think I'm going to struggle to get any extra days just for my NV tag.

Went to Truckee today and took Henness Pass back. There was surprisingly very few people out at Boca and Stampede for it being Memorial Day weekend.

Super pumped! If anyone has any pointers for me Im all ears. Never spent alot of time in either of these areas, never even been to Jarbidge but I heard its amazing. I got a buddy coming on my bull hunt that got a nice one there last year so hopefully have a decent chance. Will be first time hunting while backpacking, should be a good time.

Stage one of the Mullet build is done. The floorplan isn't set in stone and will probably be updated in stage two.
I have my minimum requirements for camping.
I removed the passenger seat to make room for the up front and added a thermostatic ceiling vent fan. I removed the wall with the sliding door so I could put my seat back farther and to make getting in back easier.
I framed the front and made a fold away sleeping platform I'll put my self inflating Exped Megamat Duo 10 on over the place the 2 dog crates go. I might make a double dog crate on one side to make more room. My safe is my step up (safe dolly will be removed after build is done) and the 4' wardrobe doubles as a nightstand and fridge/freezer stand. I installed 2 x 200aH gel batteries to power the fridge/freezer and other things. I have a 3rd one I'll hookup when I install the 3 x 100W solar panels and inverter/solar charger. I also have a battery isolator to install that will charge both truck and RV batteries.
I got a real nice cart for all my cooking gear (smoker, woodfired pizza oven, 22" Blackstone, grill and stove). I had to move the wheels in so it would fit on the ramp. Once I roll my kitchen outside I can move my power recliner to look out the back with or without the 95% roll down sunscreen.
I still have plans for insulation, walls, windows and French doors that open out onto a fold down deck off the back.

    Two Elk tags, hot damn!

Area 10 is tough to hunt. Theres only a couple options there really. Get up as high as you can on Harrison Pass and hike. Get as high as you can from Secret Pass and hike. Or maybe hike in from Lamoille Canyon. Good news is theres plenty of lakes and water up high. Bad news is I'd expect quite a bit of hiking to get away from other hunters and find the Elk -- and it's a cow tag...

Area 7, is tough hunting too, expect a lot of hiking. I've only hunted 6 but I know some guys that have gone in from near the wildcat guard station towards gods pocket peak.
