what’s your guys thoughts on this to go behind the BAMF grille?

    Anyone think it would work?

I don’t have a bamf grille to test it, but bought others may be able to chime in

I assume you made it? Is it plastic or metal?

That's the TacoVinyl TSS bracket which works great on my TV grille. I've had it on for over a week now and in some rain with no issues. The bracket is even dirty at this point and haven't had any warning lights.

EDIT: here is a pic of mine installed with the included acrylic cover.

As a BAMF grill owner, I would say no. Even on the original there’s a shelf behind the Toyota cutout. Also depends on if it’s the 3D model.

I’ll snap a pic later if I remember

It looks like it might work OP. The lines and style of BAMF is my favorite grille on the market and i wish they step up their game by making one with the TSS. *Imho, I really hate the FLAT piece of metal that most manufacturer are making for the 3rd gen's.

You’d have to measure it to make sure with this grille.

Very cool, saw the grille on Etsy and considered buying it, but saw the relocation of the TSS and it made me wonder if I could fabricate something to work with the BAMF grille since it’s literally my favorite grille.

How do you like that grille btw? I have one in cement in my cart as well but am debating between Tacoma or Taco for the lettering

Thank you sir, I assume that’s the BAMF grille you sent a pic of? Might be worth ordering both and seeing if I can fabricate something. Others may appreciate it

I like it a lot, The color matched letters came out great. No complaints! It is made to order though so it just took some time to receive. Between Taco or Tacoma I'd probably go Tacoma.

BAMF gen 1 iirc. Some cutting and grinding, anything is possible, as long as it receives info through the steel.

Unless you want to cut a square hole in that grill, you won't be able to make it work with the TSS sensor. It will not work sitting behind metal. Must be plastic (like stock).

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
So the only way to make it work on our recessed grille would be to install it in the center bar. That ends up removing the TOYOTA text. The ECO /flat grille it could be done on but recessed might take some major work to make the sensor work in that grille.

If you guy really want it we can design a center bar that fits the sensor but it will change the look of the grille for sure.

It's kinda hard to say how exactly it picks up. On the Pro grille there are 2 hole cutouts for the sensor. The only thing that sits in front of the sensor is the clear plastic not the black plastic. So I'm sure it needs a clear line of sight.
