40BC3B08-563A-443A-B967-4099E29AFB28.jpg As the title says. I have a 2019 Off Road. 4000 miles. I was doing an oil change. As I was laying on my back waiting on the oil to drain I noticed the damaged radiator. Then noticed the shroud and blade. Nothing else looked damaged around the area plus there the bash guard. Taking it to the dealer next week. I can’t believe this came out of the factory like this. Sent the pics to my buddy that is a mechanic at the dealer. Said it’s on of the weirdest things he’s seen. Between misalignment on the rear bumper fender and hood I’m starting to get pissed. Anyone else ever see this?

Most likely picked something up on the road. If it was built so misaligned to the point of contact, it would have made horrible noises and imploded upon its first start up.
About 4 years ago, I was following a coworker, his fan/radiator on his car did the same thing. It started over heating, I pooped the hood, and found a similar mess, but he had less fan.

I find it very hard to believe that truck to have rolled of the production line like that. No way that is a defect, it was damaged by something.

How did that radiator frame get bent ? I agree it didn't leave the factory like that . You need to look around some more .

I'd suspect an unreported transporter mishap. At 4K in, it'll be interesting to see how the dealer handles this one.

Will car insurance cover that type of damage?

My fan blade beat the hell out of a feral cat and never broke anything. That was definitely damaged after it rolled out of the factory before it arrived at the dealer. Hope they treat you right and fix it.

Yeah with that little nick on the gaurd lines up with it. There is a rubber edge that hangs from the radiator that’s undamaged and was hiding it. The front edge of the radiator is also fine. Seemed it caught the back edge of the radiator. One in a million shot.

Between the misaligned fender and hood & radiator damage... the vehicle prep techs ran the ferris beuller baja 500, bashed apart the skid/damaged the radiator area, got back & tossed on another skid?

What the hiss do you mean “it never broke anything”?!

Poor cat! A friend had a rabbit ride the serpentine belt in her old truck, it messed up plenty in the front end, including the alternator and fan when the belt fell off a pulley. Then the rabbit left a bloody trail out the door of the garage into the yard... it was awful. I had to take care of it she was so upset.
