N9t to my truck, but I found an old beat up craftsman box a while back. Now it kinda matches my truck. 20190130_074332.jpg 20190524_184145.jpg

I was talking to a colleague on the phone and when I heard the chime on my watch and saw what it said, I did the quickest "Well I got a guest waiting on me so I gotta let you go!" haha. I hear you on that!

Beatsonic got back to me fairly quick, within a few days (it was a weekend too). They told me to hook up both av connectors from the harness together first then seperate and plug into the respective front or rear spot on the module. I’m thinking wth is that going to do o_O well I just reinstalled the harness (because I ripped it out) and did their little dance and it fuckin worked  maybe it’s just me but I don’t get it. Obviously haven’t had much time with it but I programmed my settings (front cam auto-on, timer disabled, back ptv on). It seemed to have 2 hiccups so far- with truck in d and creeping forward the front cam just cut off. I’ll have to email about this unless anyone knows.

This was my cam placement. I was originally going to cut into the grill for center location below the emblem but ended up really liking the sr grill and after looking at the rear cam being off center my ocd was at peace

Can’t even tell from a distance

    Extremely happy with this placement

I know especially with all the new parts, makes you want to remove every spec of rust you find. I didn’t weigh the wheels separately but the tire+wheel set up is about 81lbs. Supposedly the tires are about 55lbs so the wheels would be 25-26ish without the weights and valve stem if my scale is at all accurate.

Then the rest of the hardware :)
    • Icon ET coilovers with 700 lb springs P/N 58635-700
    • Mevotech SPC upper control arms P/N CMS861197 & CMS861196
    • Wheelers SuperBumps
    • Gear Tech Protec splash guards P/N 2GSG (I had these for the 2nd gen on hand. One hole near the bumpstop doesn't line up on 3rd gen.)

I cut off the UCA bolt head with my 4.5" angle grinder, so no harm to the inner fender sheetmetal.

Details on that camera mounting please, that's the cleanest I've seen it done on that grill.

First shots fired at the chrome! Meso turns.
Also picked up a couple meso fobs today, cement for the daily, safety orange for the secondary.
Missed the first batch of puddles :(

It's Coverking and I ordered it directly from them ( which was the most affordable way ).

    Link for your 2016 OR
    https://www.coverking.com/velour-for-2016-toyota-tacoma-trd-off-road.html

Some folks think they're cheezy and old school, but I really like mine. If I'm not mistaken, they were initially made to help a vehicle's dash survive the sun, but the newer dashes are much better and more tolerant of the sun/heat, so they aren't as necessary as they used to be. That aside, I like mine because it "smooths" out the dash ( making it more simplistic ), it does actually help repel some glare, helps to keep things from sliding from one side of the dash to the other, hide cables you might have laying all over the dash, etc. If you get this one, pay attention to the options on the right since they need to know if you want cut outs for the side speakers and/or light sensor.

I dremeled out some of the “chicken wire” grill to fit the camera using a sanding drum. Cut out a piece of aluminum sheet to make a mounting bracket and epoxied it to the backside of the grill. Once everything cured, I cleaned up the opening with the dremel, taped it off, and hit it with black spray paint.

This was actually my 2nd version. 1st one was mounted in the opening above the TSS, but the sensor obstructed too much. Ended up buying a new grill insert from another member and starting over. I like how it turned out.
