Losing electrical

    Idle being low is typical when you have the battery disconnected for a period of time, give it a day and it should return to normal.

    Check the voltage at the battery with engine running. You should get around 14 volts. If you don't then you might have a bad alternator. That could be the reason the battery was dead.

    Checked the voltage on alternator. 16v and climbing when i shut it off. Bad alternator or is there some other problem?

    Really appreciate the responses. This is a great forum. I've been in hospital for a few days with back trouble, its getting better. Its great to have advice from fellow tacoma believers. Thanks all
