    Pounding out the yard work with Carol.
    We did 3 days of work today
    Every motorized unit I had was going big time.
    Between the circle plants
    Front mulching.
    Rear plants
    Rear mulching
    Potting plants
    We kicked ASS..

    So now the weekend is ours

    Good morning. Gonna go finish the drywall repair on my ceiling today. We’ve cut out the old, put up the new and have taped it and gave it the first coat. Need to put the finishing coat on then paint and we can then wait for the next home repair to come up. Apparently the hose from the condenser leaked and pretty much destroyed a 4’ x 4’ section of the ceiling in my addition that was built just 4 years ago. :rant: Nothing like working over your head (why did I make the ceiling 12’??) with no room to move. Needless to say my body is feeling it.

    Sitting at home, enjoying a nice quiet day when the thought occurred to me....If I was still "gainfully employed", this is opening day for the pool. Almost without fail, the suckiest day of the year....after a 2 week stretch of working your .ass off to get it ready to open.

    And I slept late...did next to nothing...never once heard my phone ring....and now going to grab a few beers before tossing steaks on the grill.... Oh yeah I like retirement...

    Btw... First Memorial Day weekend off in 29 years.
