100% correct, when just driving and not paying attention to the truck it runs great.

You are totally correct, I have the JBL and always have it cranked up, probably more that I should but if I'm gonna go deaf its gonna be on my terms :D

If I start hearing weird noises coming from the truck that just means I don't have radio loud enough :notsure::headbang:

Can't stand silence when I'm driving, but that's just me

^^^ I really don’t think this can be the case. Toyota would have a standard time for a worker or robot to assemble a part regardless of plant. The managers would not be like: “hey everyone.....let’s make some really good trucks today......take your time.....really make these trucks special.....whatever time is needed....you take that time!!.....make sure it’s perfect”.

    Nah.....it’s all in your head.

I don’t have much issue with shifting, gear hunting, or low-end torque in general.

Nevertheless, everything seems better when there’s a good tune coming through the speakers. I really enjoy that JBL sound.

Of course I come from Jeep Wranglers, where the sound of a cat-5 hurricane is your constant companion.

Two-third of Texans are originally from Mexico.

I lived in California for 20 years and still do regular business in Mexico: my experience is that Mexicans put a lot of pride into their work. Both in the US and in Mexico.

I think you need to get out more. A Mexican autoworker doesn’t make 20 cents an hour.

The equivalent of this is piping in vroom vroom noises through stereo. And noise cancelling . Its been done before.

the volume knob is tied into the blinker fluid canister so theres some sound dampening happening there.

Not offended, just tired of the same wrong ideas being promoted, endlessly.

My daughter was involved for many years in swimming, and her team had many exchanges with swimmers from Mexican families. I got to know some of the families quite well. The good thing about travel and meeting people from other places is you realize it’s the same shit everywhere. Same issues for everyone. Some of the smartest and most capable people have nothing, and some of the worlds biggest idiots have everything. Most people are good people and do their best for themselves and their families. That includes pride in what they do for a living. It is generally our leaders who look to consolidate power through categorizing people and dividing everybody into groups to set against each other.

I am sure, the fellas and gals working for Toyota in Baja do their best, with the same ratio of meticulous keeners and total lame-asses you might find in Texas.
