I also failed to report we found the body of my friend and co-worker in the river last Wednesday. He was 13 miles downriver from where he went in and on the other side of the river. We laid him to rest today. Just happy to bring closure for his family. He was 50 years old and would do anything for anybody at anytime. RIP

He had just bought a boat from another co-worker. It was an in board aluminum jet boat like the ones they use out in Snake River canyon. He was working the afternoon shift the next day so he thought he would go fishing until then. So he did, but when he was getting ready to load it he ran it up on a bank while he backed his truck and trailer in. He must have seen the boat work loose and jumped out of his truck to stop it. The boat got into the current and drug him with it. When we found his truck it was still running partially backed down the ramp. We found his boat 4 miles downstream caught on some brush. The key was still on but it was out of gas. So then we searched for 5 days before finding him.

 

Severe thunderstorm warning the last two hours and tornado sirens going off about an hour ago. But it looks like we are somewhat clearing out now, just rain. It was a hell of a light show for a while.

 

Sorry to hear this, was really hoping everything would turnout better. In our thoughts and prayers.

Been pretty wet here as well. Not quite as bad as you though.

 

Last year we hardly got any. Guess the water tables should be looking better this year at least lol.
