I'm not sure how bad it is in Hawaii but make sure you guys lock your tailgates.
There were strings of thefts in Mililani stealing 3rd gen wheels but I think that's stopped.
Older Tacomas don't have a lock so watch out.

Why would anyone want to steal the 3rd Gen stock wheels? It is so common, even I am getting bored of it on my truck. Even the 4runner Sema wheels on the Taco is getting too common. I like the stock look but wouldn't mind it being black. Maybe I may powder coat my stockers...sorry off topic, but I purchased the tailgate lock from @scleaf . It aint cheap, but my tailgate isnt going anywhere without the key for the lock. I also have a pop-n-lock to lock the tailgate.

Just ditched my 4runner pro wheels. Seen them around way too much and got some SCS F5 to replace

    Right?
Then again this was about a year ago. Mililani and Waipio got hit hardest especially guys who park on street. One guy came out and his truck was on cement blocks.

:ohsnap: I would be pissed if i came out to my truck and the wheels where gone! I guess it would be a good excuse to get new wheels, but more the inconvenience and the feeling of being violated!

Maybe thats why alot of 1st and 2nd gens are running the stock Sport wheels! Lol

Lol...I'd be yelling so loud cops would be called about a crazy man .
The first thing I got when I picked up the truck was wheel locks .

X2, but I have read that it doesnt even slow the thief down. Get an old socket, wack it with a sledgehammer and wheel lock gets stuck to the socket and they just twist it out. Now if you had 6 wheel locks per wheel, that would deter them definitely. They may just f-up your wheels because they get pissed they cannot steal them! Cant win..
