I figure I've done enough to my T4R now that she's worthy of a build thread...or at least a thread to post pics of her so she isn't cluttering up the OGT's thread.

    As she sits today (5-6-2019)

Natty is a 2001 T4R 4WD SR5, 5VZ-FE, auto trans with a center locking diff T-case. She's pretty much a pavement princess, but she has earned her trail stripes.

She was named by my mother as Natty used to be her primary vehicle before she passed away back in December of 2018. The name means Not A Tacoma Thank You.

She doesn't have the clearance to fully stuff the 33s on either end. I'm probably going to have to do a lot of trimming on the rear bumper, fender flares, and maybe some sheetmetal too, to get her to properly stuff the rear tires. I did a little sheet metal trimming and massaging with a BFH on the pinch weld to give the fronts more space, but they still won't clear at full bump unless they are pretty much straight. I'll be relying on the front sway bar to limit the articulation if I need to hit the trails with her.

She really makes me wish I had gotten a 3rd Gen T4R to build as a trail rig instead of a Taco (or at least a Taco with an auto trans), but I've got too much time and money in the OGT to start over with a T4R.

I'm thinking about putting a set of 4.56s in her after I get the OGT squared away. Those big heavy 33s have really made her sluggish. I'm assuming she's running 4.10s now and I could probably cure the problem with 4.30s, but I seem to tow quite a bit of things with her so the extra gear would help keep the transmission cool and let her tow better.

Nothing really new. Just flexing her out a little with the 33x12.50s...

Still have about an inch or so of up travel, I think, although it could be sitting on the other bump stop. I cold only see the one in the coil. It didn't rub up or down though.

You know, I gotta just love when I cut parts off the OGT and they provide a perfect solution for upgrades I want to do to Natty. For instance I've had my old 20" light bar sitting around waiting to be installed on Natty. Initially, I was trying to come up with mounting options using a piece of .125"x 1.5" flat stock I had laying around. First I was thinking about bending it up and bolting it on, but I knew it would be a little flimsy. Then it occurred to me that bolting shit on wasn't my only option anymore, so I decided I could weld it on at the top and bottom of the crash bar. Then I took the bumper off to really start planning and it hit me, there were two dead flat surfaces on either side of the crash bar, so I whipped out the center section of the OGT's bumper that the light bar used to be mounted to before I cut it out to clear the winch and it was a perfect fit. So here it is and I didn't so much as have to drill a hole...yet. I still have to do the wiring and install the switch, which fills me with an unfathomable joy...almost the same joy you feel when someone is about to smash your but toe with a 3 lb sledge, but, non the less...

    2yZqjJumiwUYuDY_7gjYcIl0yqR6WLn7v8cTU6N-_ac102b2177f1ba0b7d163a17cc9988c66f599ec9.jpg

Not @allenfab class welds, but I think I'm improving. The other side didn't come out as well because I think the wind was blowing my shielding gas away, but it'll hold for a light bar mount.

It ended up sitting a little higher than i planned, but I may at some point take the bumper off to paint it and if I'm feeling froggy, I might slot the holes so the light bar mounts align with the cut ends of the bumper grille. For now I'm leaving well enough alone. Also in this pic you can see my @allenfab front skid.

Job Complete...Gawd, I hate wiring. It's definitely one of those things I'll only do for myself unless someone offers me an obscene amount of cash to do it for them.

What part numbers were for the 5100s up front and the Eibach coils?

Don't know the actual part numbers. I believe they are 620# coils. It all came in a kit from Toytec Lifts. You could look it up at Toytec.
