6ADC141A-B6F7-47D2-B0CF-2E85F304E990.jpg I need to travel 150 (interstate) miles today. I have money for gas, but I’m on a time crunch. I need to spend 7 dollars more at Kroger this month to get .60 cents off a gallon of gas. I just agreed to drive to a location to pick up a Craigslist item. I have to be there in an hour and a half (85 miles away). If it gets too low of course I’ll stop and put a little gas in.

I’m just wondering if I can make it. 4cylinder, 5 speed with 265/75r16 Duratracs BTW. It’s actually 140 miles round trip

I’m thinking no, since you’re on a time crunch and will probably be speeding a bit. But that’s just me

I can do the math. I don’t know what kind of mileage I can’t get under what conditions. But I don’t know how much gas I got LOL

Don't bring any extra money and I bet you can force it. Have to drive 35 but still.

    Too many variables like that.

I meant to say earlier that I do know whatKind of mileage I can’t get it. I should be able to knock down 20 mpg @ 70 mph.

Why not just spend enough at Kroger to fill it up either 1/2 way or all the way so you aren't letting your fuel pump heat up as you burn the last gallon of fuel in your tank? You'll still have spent your $7.

off topic but I've been trying to send you pictures/video from Saturday and it just will not send its strange.

anyway @Yotabilly I'm going to say no unless you are lucky enough to run downhill the whole way to your destination.

No, you won't make it. You have maybe 1-2 gal at best before the light comes on at which point you'll have at best 3 gal so 5 tops. 30 mpg and hoping you can coast into a gas station with a burnt out fuel pump. Spend the $7 and you'll squeak by with 1-2 gal to spare if you get 25mpg.

This explains why so many CL buyers flake out and never show up. They're sitting beside the freeway somewhere, out of gas.

Sometimes I just want to pit people who are texting/posting on their phones while driving.
