Sticker was 41,000 when new in 2017. Had to fight like hell to get insurance to give me 29,000. Not sure what I'll get next, might stay with a Taco.
The cars all stopped on the highway and I stopped but guy behind me ran into me going Very fast. Truck didn't look too bad, but the frame bowed up into the bed. I've heard the frames bend easily on the Tacomas. Probably good that it did to absorb the impact.

I wouldn’t be in such a hurry to say my 2017 was totaled, otherwise you
may only be able to buy a newer one that comes with a nanny.

I thought it was a big vehicle looking at the height of damage. That sucks.

I find it hard to believe that's a total. It's about ten grand to replace the frame. It doesn't look like a very old truck. The value should still be high enough to fix it. You sure it's totaled?

Insurance said total loss, towed to salvage yard. They gave me a rental car for only 3 days. Had to buy something faster than I wanted.

    About 2500 under
A couple thousand under due to Memorial Day sale and clearing out for the 2020s. Not sure how good of a deal, but needed something fast.
