Why are you selling it?

 

I bought an AFE momentum GT intake off another member. I wanted the bigger filter the momentum has.

 

Is it possible to get a CARB sticker for this or do you swap to stock intake for smog purposes?

 

For use in California on public roads you would need to swap to stock to pass smog.

 

Thats what I thought. Thats not that big of a deal for me, but I think I'd rather get the trd CAI because of CARB

 

How do you compare the AFE with the K&N? I do have the AFE in my 18 Civic and looks pretty good and the car sound good as well. My buddy has the K&N in his Tacoma and love how the tacoma sounds but I do like better how the AFE looks, don't have an idea how the tacoma sound with one of these.

 

So sound wise, I can't really tell a difference. They both sound very similar during everyday driving, city and highway. The AFE might be a touch louder in the higher RPM's, around 4000-4500k. I switched because I have a supercharger and I wanted the bigger air filter, and the ability to draw air from the front of the engine compartment as well as from the wheel well, which the AFE lets me do with some modification. If I wasn't boosted, the K&N would have been on my truck forever. I liked the sound, and the airflow. The price for the K&N was way more reasonable compared to the AFE.... AFE is expensive!

 

I’ve got the California compliant K&N. Thinking about maybe buying this tho and then switching the two out for smog
