Hey. I wanted to add mud flaps to my '01 base model regular cab. I ordered a set, but the rear didn't seem to line up with the holes on my truck at all.
Looked at a friends '04 base this morning and noticed that he has a sizable metal bracket at the back of the rear wheel well, which seems necessary to attach rear mud flaps??

Does anyone know if this part is needed to attach mud flaps in all cases?
Or, if they make a mud flap option cut to fit into the existing wheel well without brackets?
    Thanks!!
