There appears to be no other damage, but since he hit me in the rear at that force, I was just curious if it looks to any of you as if there’s frame damage?

Thanks for any insights. Truck is getting looked at today.

Highly doubt there is any frame damage. Just crawl under and look or take it to the body shop and have them tell you.

From the pictures posted, I would seriously doubt it. That damage appears to be so minor, you could probably fix it yourself (not suggesting you do that).

BTW - Watch the "old man" comments!:thumbsup::crapstorm::cheers:

The right side of your truck was damaged and the truck slid to the right when it was hit?
That picture looks strange...hope there’s no frame damage, hard to tell unless you get underneath it.

Sorry, but it is definitely totaled. There is no way that it will ever be right again.

It looks like the guy must have come at an angle and caught the bumper, following through toward the adjacent Mazda. You can see the driver rear tire faint drag mark too. Looks like Mazda has a rear trunk dent as well by the reflection or could be preexisting.

Probably no frame damage, was it parked right there when it happened or driving?

To me it just looks as if I need a complete bumper replacement, and a tailgate re-paint/replacement.

He was turning right into the parking lane, and hit the accelerator, cause him to slide into my truck. Because it was angle parking, he hit the right side of my bumper and moved the truck from straight parking, to what you see pictured. Walked out very angry.

It looks strange because it did not move a few feet. He just parked that way and someone barely scraped the bumper as they tried to park in that spot.

Not what happened at all, buddy. Truck rear was literally moved. That also wasn’t even the car that hit me. That Mazda was already parked next to me. I don’t park like an ass.

This was considered a total after I told the other insurance I would not accept a fixed frame. Either a new frame or a new truck. They paid it out because the new frame was around $13k by itself. Take a look at the bed separating from the cab.

Also, what part of somebody turning right into a parking lot lane, that has angle parking, not understand about what happened? I was inside working, when an elderly man apparently hit the accelerator around the turn instead of the brake, causing him to ram into the truck. Not very hard to comprehend.

Instead people immediately attack with “bad park job” or that it’s my fault. I parked straight, well within the lines. If the damage present on both cars and simple physics doesn’t make sense to you, than I don’t know what to say

FWIW I completely understand what happened and how the truck ended up in that position. Some people need to think before they start tapping keys, or just don't say anything at all.

At least somebody has some sense. The internet still ceases to amaze me.

I’m also extremely appreciative of those of you who have offered pictures, advice, or thoughts. It looks ok to me, but I wanted the opinions of others to help ease my mind.
