Absolutely a bad wheel bearing will throw off the alignment. It's how I found mine to be bad. I kept adjusting toe and I kept chasing my adjustments back and forth.

Pretty easy to lift a tire off the ground and check yourself. The tech should know how to check for a bad wheel bearing.

 

He’s the one that suggested its going bad, I just didn’t know if he was full of it or not. I left the truck at home, don’t have access to it atm.

hahah people are funny when they are trying to sell stuff. It is a nice truck though, reg cab 3.4l 5speed.

 

Rear speaker was blown out. Decided to put in 4 new 6x8s. Had to remove some material out of the stock speaker mounts. Crisp tunes again.

 

Is the stereo in that thing considered good aftermarket for 1992 or something?

Scored some bucket seats that were reupholstered and from same year just extracab. Didn’t match any holes unfortunately but I was able to drill my own and bolt them down securely. Sits maybe 1 inch higher or so. Waaaayyyy more comfortable than the bench. Now to do a center console

Well after 283k miles I'm finally needing a clutch. You guys have any input on a good clutch kit? Have been able to find one from Aisin and also Exedy.

 

I have used Exedy clutches in prior vehicles and they held up great.

 

If it's just a daily with little off road I'd get another stock Aisin. 283k miles is a good sign the stock clutch is all you need.

 

I do quite a bit of off road. 80-90k of those miles are on dirt. I'm leaning towards the Aisin. Im curious to if anyone has found a kit they can recommend. Including throwout bearing, pilot bearing etc, bonus points if there is a flywheel with it

 

I don't know If the Marlin Crawler kit is back in stock but if so, I know that one is recommended if you wheel your truck. Check their website and see but last I heard they were out, that was awhile ago though

Lol. My definition of wheeling here is, twice a year in Moab, all over the Rockies, and whatever the new random road I decided to explore throws at me.

 

Does not seem to be in stock, but they have about anything I need. I'm going to call and see if they have a lead time. I'll post what I learn here. Thanks for the recommendation.

 

Getting 283k out of a clutch is pretty damn impressive then, if you had no complaints regarding the stock clutch then I'd just stick with that setup. A lot of people want a heavier clutch kit with more grab but then you sacrifice some of the street/daily driving comforts the lighter stock clutch has.
