Well I managed to not see my well head the other day after loading some stuff in the back of my truck. I pulled ahead with the wheel turned slightly to the left. The tire hit the well head square on, after driving the steering wheel is turned to the right when going down the road. Looking at all my cam bolts, tie rods, spc uca I cant find where anything has moved or bent. I noticed a little more of a clunk when hitting bumps now. Clearly the truck needs an alignment but is there something I’m over looking that they will say needs replaced before they can align?

Without getting an alignment check done it’s tough to say. Bent control arms if they are bent slightly are really hard to see. Get a check done.

Man if a control arm was bent from that little of force I might have to rethink how hard I am on this truck ha. That’s my plan just didnt know if there was something more obvious to check

Check your tie rods. Those too can bend

A typical spot that gets bent is the steering kunckle. Check the clearance between the disc brake backing plate and the attachment point of the outer tie rod for a difference between either side. Otherwise its probably something that slightly shifted, it doesnt take much at all to make a steering wheel off center... im talking like .25mm of a tie rod shift.

Ok thanks I’ll throw a tape on it. Say it is slightly bent, they should be able to correct it with an alignment if it’s slightly off I would imagine
