It's a running joke now at work that i shouldnt work on transmissions...

The dumb part is, it's gotta be a defective part, nothing i did wrong (at least i dont think)

On a side note, if anyone has a 5spd prerunner or 4wd, i can help yall knock out a clutch job in an evening. i've gotten pretty quick at dropping mine, i wouldnt hesitate to help someone else who needs a clutch

 

What about somebody that needs a clutch but doesn't have one

 

I’m in that boat but I want a manual/twin stick FJ case/taco box swap lol.

 

Ill probably have a warrantied one i can sell them here in a few weeks.. In all seriousness though, we can try to put a clutch though in your A750 if you'd like. Could be interesting

 

I've got a trans jack if you ever need to borrow it.. I would be glad to help, but i dont know anything about an auto.. Cant be that hard though right? im sure dropping it is very similar

 

It’s not bad at all, lord knows I pulled the ones out of a few of my dodges enough times lol. I’ve contemplated doing the swap but there is a lot I really want to do before that. If I do it it’s gonna be another all at once kinda deal.

I get carried away sometimes because I haven’t had a project vehicle in a good while. Considering I’ve had my truck for four months on the 1st, I think I’m keeping a pretty good pace.

 

Id be interested in pulling one just to see the differences between that and my 6spd! Dont blame you wanting to do it all at once. Trans work is time consuming

I think your doing fine work! I would have ended up in the same place in the long run probably, you just saved me the extra steps!

 

Just a few parts are different really TC and such. The process is the same except for cooler lines and crap like that. I have no doubt you could crawl under one and swap it out. Now getting inside of one, I’ve seen it done, but not my area. On that one I stay in my lane... but I’ve got people.
