Does anybody know what items would have been included in a towing package for an 03 Tacoma Dbl cab, 3.4L V6 TRD, if such a thing existed back then?

hitch receiver, a different radiator fan, and (hopefully) at least a 4 pin connector. This is technically enough to be called a tow package, but barely...

This likely would have been dealer/port installed though.

Other things you'd need are a brake controller, and most importantly, an external trans cooler.

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
My 03 came with a transmission cooler, Reese tow hitch, and a wiring connector.

What part of the country are you in? Almost sounds like you have my old truck, lol

The radiator fan is the same...it was the fan clutch. There was a standard duty and a heavy duty fan clutch. One had an orange shaft, the other had a green shaft. Several years ago Toyota did away with the standard duty and only the heavy duty fan clutch was used when ine was replaced.

I thought I remember the fan blades being a different pitch or something...

Nope...I hade the tow package on my 04 D-cab. 4 pin plugin, factory tow hitch, and heavy duty fan clutch.

I later added a TRD tranny cooler piped in after it went through the radiator.

Oh yeah, the tranny cooler is required for towing anything over 17 pounds. It's a crime they didn't come with them...
