i recently upgraded to LED turn signals, and I got the hyper turn signal thing. I wanted to fix it so I added resistors to both sides, but it still didn’t fix the issue. Any idea where I went wrong?? 3C956039-2DB0-4AD9-B989-686DE3EBF75F.jpg

People have had to add diodes to the circuit to control the voltage. Pretty sure most were using between 6 and 10 with 8 being the sweet spot for most

Looks like you hooked it up in parallel to the blinker LED. The electrons will take the path of least resistance, across the LED. It should be hooked up to one wire, so the resistance is in series to the LED. That will increase the load and should fix the hyper action.

    ^ this is correct.
you hooked it to the wrong wire. Tap yellow instead

I switched the wire, and I’m still having the fast turn signal. Any ideas?

Am I supposed to only hook it up to the yellow/blue wire?

Figured it out! I had to attach it to blue and white wire. Got confused but thanks for your help!

Cover them scotch taps with some self-fusing silicone "rubber" electrical tape 70.

This is my opinion, and my recommendations.
Still not good enough, Scotch Locks are not reliable enough for "Outside of Cabin" connections. I don't even trust them for In Cabin connections. Use good old crimp on butt connectors, or solder with rosin flux.

These are an option also...just cover them with self-fusing tape.

LOL, better go to electrical school. Electrons will flow through any path that leads back to the power source, the less resistance the higher the current flow so placing a resistor parallel to the LED will draw more current through the flasher unit tricking it into behaving the same if an incandescent light was still present. Placing the resistor in series will reduce the current load even more then just replacing the regular lamp with the LED replacement. The OP is using the correct method, just paralleled the wrong lamp.
