Right, and that goes for pretty much everywhere outside of North America I believe. The newer ones he was referring to definitely look like the ranger...

Edit: or should we say the ranger looks like the HiLux? Haha

I definitely like the Taco better, but I would drive one given the opportunity. Especially if I expat myself back to Japan after I retire.

For the low low cost of a squirt of paint marker on the oil filter. Well done, sir. :hattip:

The service manager is truely disgusted. I didn’t ask for most of this he just did it anyway

You want to get the pinion shaft at the same angle as the drive shaft leaving the transfer case. The angles should not be more than 2*. The angle of the front drive shaft to the shaft of the transfer case should be less than 4*. Get an angle gauge to check angles. I have a three inch lift with Dakar springs and I used 3.5* shim. My rear drive shaft angles are 1.8* up at pinion and 1.7 * down at front drive shaft. Transfer case shaft to front drive shaft is 3.6*. Do not drop the carrier bearing.

To continue with shims... The front drive shaft is sort of a double cardan so the angles at its ends can be different but the cardans at the rear shaft must be the same so that the slow down and speed up are reciprocal. I still do not understand why a double cardan can be at different angles and still not vibrate.

And another thought...When you change oil in the differential slightly over fill it to compensate for the angle up, or put the rear on jack stands.

I was driving home from Cleveland today and I got TWO chips in my windshield... not one, but two!! This is after never having one in my life, and I had cruise set to 75... anyone with a 3rd gen/2018 or newer (with tss) know the price to fix??

Also, does anyone know how much it costs approximately for lifetime alignments at different places and does that include balancing? Feels either really off or I knocked a weight off from wheeling this weekend.

Your insurance probably covers cost of replacement. Mine covers total cost and I have replaced four.

    A thing or two...
Come down and breath. Spend a few minutes on Google, and you can answer all these questions on your own. It took me all of a minute to find that Safelite charges $450 for a 2018 windshield if you have the gopro mount.

An alignment is an alignment, not tire balancing. The only place I know of that offers lifetime alignments is Firestone, and it's around $200. They have limitations on the whole lifetime thing, and some won't do it if your suspension is modified.

I've had a slight vibration @45-50 mph ever since I went from AAL to Dakar HD leaf pack. I already had the carrier dropped, so maybe I'm needing shims too
