Some of you know I own a CRF250L, goldwing and a CTX700. Today I traded my CTX700 for a 2017 Yamaha FZ-09. Having 2 touring bikes just wasnt for me, and one of them had to go. I wanted something fun and a thrill to ride, and the FZ-09 is an amazing bike!!! Just wanted to share. Any other FZ-09 riders?

I have heard great things about the fz09. I used to have an fz6 and loved that thing. Unfortunately, I got too busy to ride and so did all my riding buddies. I will get one again someday, and the fz09 is definitely one that I will consider. I love the look of the naked bikes/street fighters.

Thanks. I would honestly consider the FZ09. It feels solid, it's powerful, nimble, and overall I really enjoy riding it. The motor is smooth and its actually comfortable.

I never got into Yamaha. I always rode Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki. But i do have a Buell X1 lightening carbonfiber extreme. Heavily modded. I just put a tire off the ZX10r onto it today because the zx10r got a brand new Michelin power super-sport evolution.

you need a front tyre to........NEVER mix the Michelins with other brands. the Michelin is a unique tyre and there is no "cross-matching"

Love it. Came from a Ninja 300 so the power difference is...significant. :)

Only done a couple mods and probably won't do anything more since I like it the way it is and enjoy riding it more than working on it.

Damn! I bought an FZ-8 one model year before FZ-09s were available. I love mine, but part of me wishes I waited... the sound of that triple winding up!!

I love that triple!! It sounds amazing. I almost bought a 2016, but im glad I waited for the 17's. Much better improvements. It's like the perfect bike!

Just a gen2 TRD shift knob so far. Anxiously awaiting ovTune 1.05 with handheld tuner!
Own a 16 Street Triple R. Love the '09. I think it's the bike that forced Triumph to update to a 765

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Yo yo! I do enjoy an FZ. My main riding buddy rolls an MT.
I am good for now. Actually selling my 1290r SD. Spending most of my time in the dirt on the 300, 350, 500 and 1190r.
I am rolling thru bikes like water.

I did the same thing. Bought a 2012 FZ8 used back in 2014, then a month later I hear about the FZ09 coming out and being lighter and more powerful. :(

But I'm still on the FZ8 today, and it's an awesome bike. Racetech fork springs made a huge difference.
