Hey there. First time poster. Hopefully soon-to-be owner of a 2017 Tacoma Pro.

I have a few questions I am not informed enough to answer. The former owner (looking at through dealer so I can't personally talk to them) made the following major modifications. What I can't seem to tell through reading on this forum is if this is any better than stock. I thought the Fox setup on the 2017 Pro was nice enough not to warrant swapping.

    • ADS Race Suspension
    • OME HD Dakar Leaf Springs
    • SPC UCAs
    • Upgraded bump stops (not certain at present what kind)

The others are smaller things I can make my own judgement on.

Would appreciate your collective insight into the above. I know that the answer at the end of the day "depends on what kind of riding I intend to do" but at this stage, since I am paying slightly above market value for the truck, I want to ensure these are truly upgrades and not the opposite. I was sure looking forward to seeing what the '17 suspension could handle stock after some impressive YouTube reviews.

Thanks, and hope that this isn't my final posting!

That’s the ultimate setup short of having the long travel. Great deal.

Really? Well, I certainly appreciate the quick insight. I know these are all reputable brands, but I was genuinely led to believe through my research that the stock suspension was second to few. This is one of the reasons I was looking at a Pro vs. a modded Off-Road.

Lol. Not even close. ADS is second to none. That’s what I will be getting once my taco is paid up. It’s up there with kings. Better than fox

The stock Fox stuff is quite nice but that's a step up. You probably have another couple inches of lift and great flex travel as well as more adjustability with the UCA to fit bigger tires. I bet it bombs forestry roads real nice!

'preciate yinz. If I get 'er, I can't wait to get out there and tear it up. Plenty of trees, plenty of rocks, plenty of mud. This would be my second taco. Had to sell my '03 years back to help pay for a wedding. Ya know how it goes...
