So after changing the some screws that mount the license plate lights to attach to my new steal bumper the screws shorted out my tail light fuse on my 2015 because the screws were touching the wires. The blown fuse made the running lights not work for both the front and back lights when the headlights were on including the license plate lights. I replaced that fuse and now everything works but now Iv noticed that when I lock/unlock the truck the blinkers don’t flash indicating when I lock/unlock the truck. Does anyone know how to fix this. Iv tried researching it already on here but no clear answers match up to my problem. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

First - Verify that your turn signals work. Right - Left & Hazards button too. Go from there (I suspect alarm module issue)

Turn signals work and so do the hazards. Is the alarm module hard to locate and fix if possible ?

Quick test. Press the panic button on remote, verify turn signals flash.

The vehicle BECU has an internal connection to the hazards circuit on the turn signal relay/flasher, it works along with the plain setup of locking and unlocking system OEM type, I've no idea what Viper Model you have installed.
If you don't mind loosing your radio stations and a rough idle (until it gets back on track), remove the ground terminal on the battery and give it 5 min to reset. Replace and secure the connection, the alarm will/should go off. Check for the lights, if it stays the same...I'm out of ideas.

What do you mean “if you don’t mind loosing your radio stations and a rough idle ( until it gets back on track)”. All I have to do is relive the ground terminal on the battery for 5 mins?

When you "reset" the vehicle, the engine computer relearns it's settings, it will rum rough for awhile. The radio looses it's stations memory.

So I disconnected the ground terminal on the battery for 5 minuets and the alarm didn’t go off and the lights still don’t come on when I unlock the truck. I’m thinking it’s probably a fuse that got blown or something.

The Flashing for lock and unlock is an input to the turn signal relay. Since the lamps work for hazard and turns then it's more than a fuse.:notsure:

Nope..not if the turn signals and hazards work as they should...If you look at the drawing above, you'll see a tie in to that circuit that comes from the Body Electronic Control Unit. (Body ECU)This in turn receives an input from the alarm and lock/unlock system.
So lamps work, turn signals work, hazards also, so next level is BECU or/and the alarm system. My bet is the interface inside the BECU.$$$

Dang this sucks. Do you think if I take it into a car stereo place they can fix it? Probably not even worth the money if they can tho. Thanks for taking interest in helping me by the way. I appreciate it.

I saw that you "revived" an older thread and he had success with replacing the turn relay. Do the same and verify. You have the 12 pin turn signal flasher? There are 2 parts # 81980-02030 and 81980-35020

    $58.00 and change...:(

Not trying to hijack, my 05 won't flash lights when I lock/unlock but everything flashes when I hit panic button, I was thinking it might have something to do with the fact of changing out all my lights(except headlights) for led lights. Maybe not enough current draw?‍♂️ any thoughts? Or could this be what is happening to your truck?
