    I am a retired Mechanic/Supervisor. When I took over a very large shop for cars and pickups. They had NO Stars program it took me three years to get everyone enrolled, I also got two emissions testing machines and got everyone certified so we could do emissions testing done in house. I was able to get the City to pay for it all before I retired in 2016. I had seven Supervisors and 120 Mechanics working with me (3 shifts) out of just that one shop. We had eight shops total.
    I miss the People and the troubleshooting process.

    Interesting thread!

    I am a sr analyst/development support for a large commercial real estate development and property management firm.

    I just started a career shift. Finished my mba back in December and took a title cut (but thankfully a pay bump) to get out of commercial banking. Banking is some boring stuff, with the exception of the investment bankers. Those guys work brutal hours but making a killing. Maybe I would have gone that route iif I was still in my twenties, haha.

    I want to work hard and make some $$, but have free time enough to enjoy the taco via load camping gear, mt bikes, and snowboard gear in the winter.

    A job opening within my company is available and seriously considering it. My bosses said they don't want me leaving them, but it seems dumb to stay in a position with a much different growth factor. Only downside is the environment at the other office is much different, not as laid back and micromanaging...but it's 0.5 mile from my place. Hmm...

    A CAD/CAM programmer for a sheet metal company, also a laser machine operator. And the bitch who fixes it when it breaks.

    Fun job, pretty much play tetris all day with parts trying to yield the best results out of the sheets. Been here for like 15-16 years now.
