What size are your tires? I have same tires but they are 285/70/17 with stock sport wheels and rub like crazy. I believe there is a spacer on the wheels and do have coil over vehicle dynamics on Not sure if its just leveling or actually a lift but I need to do the cmc cuz its real bad off road

 

Don't worry man, I'm with you. I have roughly 1.5"~ of lift and I rub with my 265/70/17 Falkens. Wheel offset has a lot to do with it.

I need to do a CMC or something because I'm also getting tired of rubbing backing out of the driveway or when I compress on turns/offroading lol.

 

I am running 265 70 17 Falken At3

 

Oh ok No wonder mine rubs, guess its time to do the cmc. Those new ones from Alpine look sweet.

Metal wouldn't have been much and you can use a zip cut to do it.

I don't have a welder so I had a local shop do it and he did just that, grinder to cut it.

It cost me $180cnd to pay someone to do it . Can't see buying the material to be any more than buying a pre made one from Bamf.

I think the plates from BAMF cost 20 bucks. I used a welder from work and I had a grinder. So it was pretty cheap for me. I also like to do it myself if I can.

My point was if it was 180 foot material and labor I can't see material being that expensive

I wouldn't. Then you will cut into the bushing and close off the opening in that circle.

 

I guess I mean, in case I'm not making sense, cutting along the face of the nub you're grounded to. not behind the nub, just flush with it... I suppose you could always just hammer the plate on the curve and then weld for a deeper CMC

 

Yes you can do that. That's what I would do. I didn't need to cut much off. I just had a little rubbing.
