Has anyone posted a thread on the relocation of a backup camera onto a swingout bumper? I would love to a see what others have done before I decide what route I will take

2.5 inch lift, 265/75/16s Smittybilt awning. Custom Bed Stereo. Rear View camera. Light bar forward and backwards. Front cooler rack. Leds front and under steps. Garmin off road gps. Garmin one road GPS . Two different units. CB, Roof Rack with custom Tent mounts. Traction Boards. Bliston Shocks.
Way to go now is wireless. Have wireless on the toco and wireless on my dodge 3500. People don't think about it just wire the camera into the clearance lights of the truck. Turn the lights on you have cameras. All you would have to do is hot off the tail light and ground it to the swing out.
Don't have a swing out but what I just explained is on the camper top on the toco. One wire does it all. :)

First mod was installing the rear view camera. GPS in front of it.
Have two on the back of my slide in camper in the dodge. Trying to find a picture of them. When I do i'll post it. All you do is plug the monitor in, its preset from the factor. Two cameras are cool. One facing down and one facing back so you always have a view of whats right behind you or what ever it is your hauling.

Lance 1191 in the back of the dodge. Two on the rear of that camper. Like mentioned just turn the parking lights on, I have them wired into the hot on those. One down to hook up the trailers one facing backwards to watch your cargo.

On the swing out tire rack it should be grounded to the bumper. All that is needed is a hot. Mount it anywhere you want long as you got a ground and one wire, your system is good to go.

Some balls here to drill and mount on the roof like this. I would be too afraid of water leaks and rust forming. I would've mount it on a high rise bed bar if I opted for this route.

Old fab guy from back when most of those on here won't even born yet. ;) Have roof rack inbound, but closing up holds is easy with marine stuff. :)

I routed the wires along the swingout and just zip tied the camera with intentions of making or buying a bracket but 18 months later and it's still zip tied.

This is the best pic I have of it
