What's in there, weight, and do you have a problem towing it with the 4 and stock brakes?

The trailer's empty when I back haul it as it weighs 12,000lbs. when loaded. Empty its right at 3,500 to 4,000 lbs. The weight is not the problem, the wind resistance is insane. I keep it at 55-60 on the highway in 3rd gear. The 4 banger will take it faster but I wont for saftey reasons. Brakes are amazing because I have a brake controller for the electric brakes. I've been pulling trailers with anything from a tacoma to a pete 379 since I was 15 so I feel safe pulling heavier loads than the taco is rated for.

3" Toytec lift with OME 884 coils and shocks, Alcan Long AAL, I had a 1" block added since I haul a little pop-up camper and I usually have 3 bicycles and firewood and camping gear in the bed. Extended rear shocks, stainless steel brake lines too. And I took the front swaybar off too. It leans a little in the corners, but I'm used to it after 2 years now with this setup. It rides level when fully loaded.

When it was stook It would wheel hop in sand and wet intersections, and sag when loaded and floated and bounce around. Since the lift It rides tighter not jarring but frim. Like a truck should. I'm very happy with this set up.

    Thanks for asking.

After I got the damage fixed from following a short wheel base Jeep and sliding down onto a fallen tree stump. I painted the inside of the fender with a can of bedliner to seal it from collecting mud and crap to keep it from rusting from the inside out. I noticed rock chips on the driver side rear fender. So I just prep it and painted both sides. I want to paint the rockers down the sides some day.
I like the way it looks too.

What kind of gas mileage do you get with the 265's on there? What was the change in MPG from the stock tires? I want to upgrade my tires but dont want to loose all my mpg. thanks

    With my MT's

If I keep my foot out of it, and do the speed limit I can get 19-20 mpg.

I have a ScanGauge ll that tells me my MPG as I drive. So that helps.
But sometimes it's hard not to play a little.

I usually have a load, going camping or stop and go driving in St. Petersburg, Fl. So my MPG is usually lower then, 17-18 mpg.

BTW; I had the 265 75 16 BFG AT ko's put on at about 5000 miles new. So I didn't have much time after break-in to tell the mpg with the 245's on it.

Some pics of the 08' haulin 42 bags of oils dry. Had zero handling/braking issues and power was very good. Some air bags would be nice though....

    42 bags @ 50lbs. ea.= 2,100lbs.

Sorry i didn't see your post earlier, if you still care the work done has been..
at 220,000 had total service done including all belts, fluids, and electronics check.
since then it has just been routine maintainence oil, gas, tires etc.
it has new gloss black steel wheels
bed liner, seat cover, custom hand built ipod dock, polk db651s speakers, pioneer stereo
don't really plan to upgrade very much, just want it to keep running reliably for the rest of high school.
