Waaaahhhh, but it's got a CAR motor.

 

What am I missing...didn't they eventually replace his motor under warranty?

 

I read his website but I didn't catch where it actually said they replaced it under warranty. It implied maybe the original warranty decision was reviewed, but nothing beyond that.

 

That was my understanding as well, maybe he's going to sue for punitive damages like Sol Rosenberg did back in the day...

 

After thoroughly going through the website, I have a lot of burning questions that need answering.

I realized recently that the 3rd gen taco makes less tq than hp.. completely bassackwards to how it should be. Maybe ill buy one

Had to to go through a lot of bitter, salty posts to find it, but here it is:

Final (I think) update: after the hill climb & blown engine Toyota denied the warranty, I appealed to Toyota (which meant putting up $4k for them to look at the truck again). It took about two months in the shop, but they finally rebuilt the engine. They said if it happens again there's a good chance they won't cover it. There's nothing more they're willing to do (for example, they refuse to lemon law the truck).
