put it on your side then? OR ditch the relic of the stone age CB.

Or mount the ham where the CB is, then get like a cobra 75 handheld ones you could mount darn near anywhere.

Yeah, CB is pretty dead around here in UT as everyone has largely moved to HAM, but there are a few people still around who SWEAR cb is the greatest ever invention, then can't hail someone from the other side of the parking lot.

Put the radios in the console under the arm rest. Bring the mic cords out the front. It's not like there is that much adjustment on the fly once the radio is turned on.

You can for HAM. But a 42" ones work quite well and isn't whippin all over the place. Esp back east with all the trees and stuff.

I agree with this as most around me either have ham/race or no comms. I think cb is still widely popular out east though. I think the bigger distances out here dictate us to go beyond the cb.

I don't have the whips, but the X-wing gets me some funny looks from people in the know.

I saw that on my search. What about the bigger antenna? What can that do for me?

CREW Duke Counter-IED antenna. Essentially a massive RF jammer for cell and radio signals used to trigger remote detonation.

That wouldn't really get you anything. A Weboost system is pretty handy though.
