This is the proper 'nozzle' for washing cement.

I will say I think there may be an issue with cement. I noticed my cement taco chipped way more easily than any of the others. Maybe in my head.

And yes ideally you should wash your vehicle with the 2 bucket and hose method but a pressure washer is perfectly safe when used correctly and a vital tool for extensive detail work.

Are you sure those were the brushless?

@ $14.99 a month unlimited use, I'll admit to taking the Camry through the brushed spinning monster with an embarrassing frequency.
Feels like the car is going to implode every time.
It'll be down to the primer one of these days, but I'll never have to worry about fogged lamps or oxidized paint. lol

I've known plenty of jump qualified people in my 10 years AD, volunteering to willing do "controlled falls" and knowing the toll it takes on your body, dosent necessarily mean your crayons are the sharpest in the box...balls on the other hand.

I have a pressure washer as well as buckets. I choose buckets. My paint looks real nice.

More people have pressure washers than should. Reddit has tons of videos that prove this.

Guys that don’t have a basic understanding of what PSI ratings mean, and don’t know what they’re doing except spraying water - will damage stuff with that water.

Difference between a detailer using one is they know how to use it, and know what they’re doing.

This. I only break out the PW when the truck needs it (mud, salt after winter, frame cleaning, etc.), if I can get away with the garden hose and 2 bucket method I go that route, but repeated PW use wont chip or ruin your paint if done with half common sense, hell my dirt bikes see the PW every weekend and look nicer than the truck most the time. I'm guessing the paint never adhered correctly or there was a pre existing chip/etc.

If the paint has chips, the pressure washer will naturally break the paint at it's weakest.

I only pressure wash my truck, just did the engine bay yesterday. 12 years & 6 Toyotas Later, haven't had an issue lol

You'd have to really be trying to mess up paint with an electric PW under 2000 PSI.

6” away from rough texture paint with no pre-inspection for chipped or cracked paint = messed up paint.

    Otherwise we wouldn’t be here.

Electric makes no difference, except they’re usually less GPM than gas.

    Pressure is pressure.

I've washed my chipped tacos with a PW no problem for years now, however not that close to the paint. And no one is arguing physics here, its a pressure washer, just the fact that many use it routinely without damaging paint from detailers to weekend warriors.

That’s the difference between ruined paint and a car wash.

I use a power washer to wash my truck I don't have problems. Like someone else said, I also can use it on my hands and it doesn't hurt so i think you'd be just fine to use it on your paint. Assuming its your fault and not just bad paint, just watch the distance and make sure to use the right nozzle

You have to be very careful using pressure washer on vehicles.

My Lowe’s pressure washer with a Honda motor recommends using the middle-grade nozzle on automobiles; it is rated “mild”.
