With all of the issues with Toyota and the TSS radar issue, is it recommended to do a swap to an aftermarket grill?

I just picked up my truck in April 2019 and I haven’t received any notices that mine needs to be brought in.

I saw a post about a sticker being placed on the sensor but can’t relocate it (search function only seems to work if I remember exactly what it said).

I'd wait awhile before doing any grill mods. Lets see how this ultimately plays out.

Talk to your local service dept. They had never seen that TSB at mine and did it without question. My radar has been working just fine on my aftermarket grill.

I picked up a 2019 TRD OR in April, too. I swapped the grille and discovered that the dealer had already done the TSB before delivering the truck to me.

I haven’t had any issues with TSS: appears to be working fine.

Same here, bought mine end of April. I sat on it before going in and talking to my dealer. He said there should be no issues, but you can bring it it and we will reapply the strip and/or look at an sensor issue if necessary. So I swapped it out this last weekend and had no issues.

Thanks for all the tips. I just decided to buy the black bezel from the SR for now. Leaves all of the original equipment intact.

I guess i'll throw another statistic in. Bought mine April 14, it doesn't come up for any recalls and works just fine with my aftermarket non TRD pro grille.

The SR5 grille looks better than the stock grille on TRD OR/Sport.

I just swapped my off-road grill to the mad hornets. Haven’t had an issue yet with TSS.

If Toyota gives me shit, they can disable it. I really don’t give a fuck.

I really have been disappointed with my dealings with Toyota. I’m just biding my time, till I get rid of it for a F150.
