My ABS light came on and the code that popped up was C0215, Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Malfunction. Went to take out the sensor realizing it was stuck in there. Sprayed a little PB on it and gently tried to wiggle it out. It ended up snapping off and is now stuck inside the hole. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

    Drill it out.

Get your new sensor to get the width of bit to use, and use the length of the probe part of the new sensor to mark (or wrap with tape) the depth of your bit, so you don't go too deep. Use a pick to clean out any chunks left, then spray out with compressed air or brake clean.

You might use left handed drill bits if you have them, and no I'm not messing with you that's a real thing.

That's my idea. I've never done this but the sensor is mostly plastic and soft stuff so I think it would work.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck!

You could try drilling a small hole through the middle of the piece that’s stuck. Next you take a screw that is smaller than the diameter of the sensor but bigger than the hole you drilled. Screw it into the remains of the sensor then grab the head of the screw with pliers and pull it out.

Have you had it towed on a flatbed lately?

Thanks. And no I have not had it towed on a flat bed recently. What brand do you recommend for the new abs sensor? I found one oem for $200. Any options out there that are a little cheaper?

Rockauto has them for $30 to $150. I chose the $90 Beck Arnley one. It's up to you how cheap you want to go. Some people buy the ebay ones that are 2 for $10 from China.

I used a Toyota OEM front sensor when I broke one trying to get it out. Paid too much but it was 10 degrees and I was working outside. Didn’t want to have to redo. How did you end up getting your old one out?

I just bought and installed one of the two of these from Amazon, basically the dirt cheap ones from China. It's working and has been for a whole week, but who knows how long it will live, search Amazon for:

    B01LXD4S

20.99 for the pair, shipped fast.
