    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I'm looking to purchase a kenetic rope for my recovery kit. I'm seeing a bunch of different sizes (thickness), weight ratings, and lengths for these. Just wandering if someone can enliighten me on what would.best suit my needs here.

I have heard that bigger is not better with these... that a kenetic rope rated at too high a weight rating wont properly "snatch" when using it.

Just want to make sure I'm getting the right thing, before dropping 100 bucks on a rope lol.

You're correct in thinking that bigger is not always better. I agree with Andrew in that the ARB is an excellent option for a snatch strap. I have one and have used it 40+ times. It's amazing.

You'll be super happy with it. That's what I always recommend this to anyone for a snatch strap. It's inexpensive and proven, and a quality brand at that.

That's a fantastic strap. I've only got to use it twice so far but it makes pulls smooth and effective. Well worth the money. I'd recommend the 2-3/8" wide version. 30 feet is a bit long though for close quarters situations, but better to have it just in case.

    Well, then you need this:

And 4 or 5 of these while you're at it.

The ARB is on my list as well. I have a 30k# tow strap(static), but I want to have a dynamic strap as well...

I do not recommend getting anything shorter than 30 feet, I have a 20 footer and its just too short sometimes lol

The dynamic strap truly is a game changer. It's ridiculous how smooth the pulls are when recovering.

I've seen 10 footers, and I'm like WTF is that for?!

    30 foot is pretty standard.
